Half the tribe of Menasha settled in the Hills of Shomron. This area is made up of many hills and valleys. The main trail through these hills is called "The way of the Patriarchs". The view to-day in the area hasn`t changed since biblical times. People make their living in the same way with olive groves on the hillside slopes and grain crops in the valleys. The main cities are Beit Shean and Shechem. The archeological site of nearby Rehov is now being excavated. In 2007 the first biblical apiary, dating from the 10th/9th centuries B.C.E. was discovered, proving that Israel really was the "Land of Milk and Honey".
